I liked the feel of this one, and maybe the writing should not be there, so ignore it if you feel it distracts from the image. all feedback welcome, good or bad, Thank you
Only work done on this image was to remove her big sister that was stood next to her back in the original image.
Well I like it! Not sure about the writing though, but lovely thoughtful pose. You're getting good at these aren't you!!!
Thank you Leslie, thought that people would not like the writing. still did it though, that must be the rebel in me.
Nice shot, I like it
I think the only way in which this could have been improved would have been a touch of backlighting to lift her off the background. Here white hair thingy is sort of floating in mid-air.
Lovely shot though.
Hi Ian, you are of course correct, the problem I had with her hair and the background was that her sister was stood next to her obscuring part of the photo, I tried to remove her but as you noticed that in doing so I also lost some of the girls hair near the yellow bobble, it seems like a nice picture, so I thought it was worth the effort trying to salvage it. not perfect but I am reasonably happy with the result.
Many thanks for your comments everyone.
I think I'd have been tempted to get rid of the yellow bobble altogether. It's a lovely picture though, and very nicely done ...I'd never have known you'd removed someone.
Are you entering this is the technology competition?
Good shot. Dump the text and the border.
Strange thing Keith, I emailed this to the parents without the text and the border, and for some reason, I only seem to do it to images I put on here, go figure.
I do like your blunt, straight to the point approach.
Hi Anne, never thought about losing the bobble, I think I left it in because I have no background to this image and it does show the end of the hair, even if its only what our brains interpret. not good enough for competitions, so a no on that one.
Borders! The curse of EPZ. It spreads like a virus. No doubt I'll get it one day.
I have already folded under preasure and no longer put my name on all my photo's, the borders cant last much longer, maybe I need to do one last one , just to get it out of my system. might even stick my name on it for good measure.and a double coloured background just for the sheer hell of it.
watch this space
Great photo but I agree that you should dump the border.
Pete, you have no idea what it feels like when you notice that you have been given the EC award, top feeling, many thanks.
Congrats on the EC!
One, every other day,
That's gotta be some kind of record.........
Well, at least you're still humble about it. (
These youngsters can teach us a thing or two. A cute image and congratulations on the award and it wasn't even a duck ) How do you do it ? By sheer hard work and perseverance that's what . You do do some fine work .
I have a lot of catching up if I want to compete with your 7 EC'S Mavis, 7 EC'S are no accident fantastic portfolio, you make me feel humble.
So you entered it after all, and got shortlisted ...well done.
it was worth a go, nothing ventured and all that. thank you Anne
Lovely shot, I love the way her finger is poised over the mobile.
Excellent and well deserved EC.
She is beautiful and so intent on what she is doing, love the way she is poised ready to dial. The colour of her jumper compliments her skin colour well. The dark background works well, her hair clips adding that extra touch. Well deserved EC.
Thank you Louise, for your kind words
This is a great shot. The little girl is really engrossed in what she is doing. Technically perfect. Well done.
She is very very cute and you are very very clever! With the words it could be a poster.? click
oh and congrats on the EC!
Super shot! and thanks for the compliment on the girl and her dog.
Don't know how I came to miss this, sorry.
It's a wonderful shot, with composition, expression colour and theme all culminating in something to be proud of.
Don't know about back lighting stuff, but on my screen her dark brown hair in held in the bobble against the black backdrop quite noticibly...perhaps I still haven't got the same colour settings as everyone else.
Anyway, congrats, and superb!
