Did try to lighten it a bit but not sure if it's still a bit dark, what do you think?

I think it is great..the bright blue sky makes the black look ultra dark but a brilliant shot.

Looks very realistic to me, and it's a great picture, full of detail. [I think you would have had to use HDR to get detail in the black nostrils. Not easy with a living, moving animal]

He's a lovely stripey boy. I think the slight darkness works effectively against the light sky . Gives it a hint of silhouette.

It's a fine shot - the mane stands up beautifully silhouetted against the blue. Not too dark on this monitor.

Had a look at the mods - well, I think the posted one looks more natural, doesn't show those edges which came out through sharpening. Keep it as it is - my oppinion.

Great capture Una,I had to have a look at him when I saw him in the middle of the thumbnails,well it made me smile.
All the thoroughbreds and then this guy,,( yes I know he thoroughbred,just with out the finance l backing) !!!!!!
Its probably monitor I am on at the moment but his snout is a little dark.
Still its a lovely shot nice one.

Lovely detailed Zebra portrait. Interesting to see different versions, I like Pamelajean's version as she has defined the nose area more but the white background on your modified version looks good. I think a re-work in B&W would really suit this animal.
