THE seaside resort of Harlech, famous for its castle, now has a new tourist attraction - Dewi the Dragon.

The spectacular metal Welsh dragon is bolted in to his new home at Min-y-Don Holiday Home and Touring Park below the historic castle in Gwynedd.

The 16-foot long, 11ft high and 10ft wide metal dragon guards the entrance to the award-winning five star park.

The Park owner commissioned Dewi . It took 732 hours to be crafted and comprises 2,500 scales welded on to a frame.

This has given me a good laugh - thanks, I needed it. It's funny but also beautifully composed and taken. Placement, depth of field, crop are spot on. The castle in the background is perfect balance.
With respect to Dave above, don't change the sky!! It's pale and misty and doesn't compete with the foreground for attention. Anything else would just look so false.

Thanks folks Smile

It was cropped this way to hide a small fence that is around Dewi's Legs which i didn't like to have in the shot. It was taken on a really damp misty day. Maybe i will return on a clear sunny day to see what i can achieve.
