Love their wonderful slightly crumpled, newly opened texture and glorious colours. Don't have this beautiful variety but those within my garden have had a really hard time this year between the awful winter and then the gales more recently. Fingers crossed they make it!

Thanks Carol, Ann and Brian. This is a particularly brilliant colour Ann but I like the white as well. I was pleased to see the buds appear as the shrub was quite badly damaged by the frost this year. Hope yours will be alright too.

Beautiful floral shot and presentation: love the detail in the petals as well as their slightly crumpled look. Beautifully lit and captured.
Ronnie.

Lovely detail and colour in the centre Val, blending into the softness of the pink bloom. That pattern is sweet too. One type we don't have in our garden but must try for it next year Smile

This is quite a neat shrub Leo and makes a brilliant splash of colour in early summer. Thanks for your comments and you too Chris.

These are lovely, so delicate and crumply, with that beautiful centre with the red spots.

Thanks Lillian and Pamela and everyone who voted. I always think the texture of the petals looks like crumpled tissue paper.
