The heart of Dartmouth, unromantically known as the Boatfloat.

Beautiful shot, I was there last year, via the steam train and went on a boat trip up the Dart.

The Round Robin trip Brian, fun isn't it? It's Regatta this week so the town is very busy. Thanks for your nice comment.

Coming to the regatta but it won't be the same without the Arrows. They'll be sadly missed. Looking forward to the colour and spectacle of it all. Sylvia

Thanks everyone for your nice comments.

See you there Sylvia! I have lived here for 28 yrs and the Red Arrows have been cancelled on occasions but never for such a tragic reason as this. I understand that members of the public have been requested to wear red on Friday in memory of the pilot who died.

Looks so very busy and lively Val...a nice angle over the marina. I expect it WILL be this week, even more so. Such a shock the accident, they push the boundaries to the very edge, all very experienced pilots and this time it wasn't due to a collision, making it even more difficult to solve.

Dartmouth is a brilliant setting for the Red Arrows, they do the low flying cross-over on the river just to the right of the boatfloat. It was horrible to lose one of their pilots like that and our thoughts will be with them on Friday afternoon which is when they were due to do their display.
Thanks for your comment Leo.
