Well detailed and colourful capture...
Fantastic image,so well detailed
Very clear image. well done
Thank you everyone very much. This was taken through a window so I was pleased with how it came out.
Thanks Peter, pleased you like it.
great shot, excellent detail
Thanks Gary for your nice comment.
Brilliantly detailed Val, I've only ever heard one of these, in the distance, never been lucky enough to see one...so colourful aren't they?
Such clean windows too LOL
We are lucky enough to live next to a woodland so we get a lot of woodpeckers coming to the feeder. I keep that particular window clean on purpose but this camera focuses well through glass, the result always surprises me. Thanks for your comment Leo.
Wow! Well captured!
Thanks Janet. I'm hoping to capture the female next - not literally LOL
Stunning capture! Woodpeckers are among my favorate birds and your image of this one is splendid. God bless, Patti
I just cant get a decent photo of a bird
And as for a woodpecker....Well
Thanks Patti and Barbara. We get all manner of woodland birds and it's the feeding station which attracts them. I have to keep very still with woodpeckers though, the slightest movement and away they go!
how exciting I just love these and to get them in the garden is special
Thanks Linda, the male turned up the other day so I've got two now!
My own favourite garden visitor. Mine never agrees to pose for my camera but now must make a greater effort, inspired by this!
Thanks Steve and Ann. I take them through a window with the curtains closed leaving just enough gap to poke the lens through. That way they can't see me else they would fly away immediately.
