I took this image yesterday while out with the family and Snapbandit.

I have given it the title of 'Ismenius Longwing' but I am not sure.

What a difference a day makes. Yesterday we had glorious sunshine as it has been for the past 3-4 weeks and got up today at 6.00am to see the Olympic Torch going through the town and it was cold, dull and horrible. The organisation of the Olympic Torch was a bit disappointing as the young lad carrying it was hardly visible until he was right up along side you due to the cavaclade of cars, buses, etc in the entourage. Should have just had a lie in.

Thanks for your comments and votes on my last upload. They are much appreciated.

Thanks for viewing and as usual any critque welcome.

excellent shot Valerie (only surpassed by Teds salmon sandwiches!! Wink ), must have a look at your 105mm lens sometime, certainly seems handier than my extention tubes & big lens!

Thanks everyone for your comments and votes. Joe, glad you enjoyed the sandwiches. The 105mm is the sharpest lens I have. Ted was pleased with the quality of the 40mm although you have to get very close to your subject he didn't scare off most of these butterflies.
