I slept at Stonehenge last night in the car & have taken a series of shots at the Winter Solstice celebrations at daybreak this morning.

The guy in the antlers is "stag lord" Taloch of the Dolmen Grove Pagan group.

Taloch is also lead singer of the Pagn folk rock band "The Dolmen."

As yo can imagine, there were a variety of characters present, pagans, warlocks, witches & druids, but a very nice, warm & welcoming group of people.

Gareth

Clear-eyed and optimistic.
And in real life he is probably a Civil Servant or a dentist or a postman...
It would be a dull world without him.

Hi Moira,
strangely enough, he is an old friend of mine.
He's actually a full time band member lead singer of the Dolmen band..they are quite successful, especially in Germany .

Beautifully captured, Gareth. Listening to 'A Fisherman's Song' as I type, and will now have to check out more on You Tube.

A super shot Gareth, beautiful morning light enhancing these two attractive souls - have spent a few hours resting at Stonehenge and watched the sun rise and it is a magical experience, probably more so at the solstice ... Carol GrinGrinGrin

Hi Carol,
thanks to Arthur Pendragon( you may have sen him on the news today..I have photos if him & his druid "warband" to follow), on the Solstice days, you are now allowed free acces within the stones..as opposed to having to pay to see them from the outside.
It is a n ice experience, though we slept in the car overnight..very uncomfortable & wee up at 5.45 a.m as the pagans had started their druming & chanting by then !!

Hope your'e good Carol?

What an excellent portrait
How strange everybody noticed The Lord but no one the lady... And it was her hat I noticed fist.. Use dead crow the Christmas decoration and the wide smile were such a great combination. I think I have to search on YouTube now.
