Hi Folks , I'm back for Xmas!

Recently was working in Geneva and my wife and I decided to go to Montreux for a few days and see the Xmas market. The weather was iffy, but we had some sun and this was one of the days. The views are stunning. They are not what you have here of course, this is an HDR treated image which I wanted to try. Shot with a tiny DMC TZ 30 which is all I had room for on this trip ( thanks for the tips Mr Wollybill, I succumbed when Comet - RIP- offered it at half price. )

Very nice indeed. Especial praise for capturing the bands of cloud in front of the mountains, both above the mist and below the sky.
I think of all the cameras I have at the moment the Emergency Lumix would be the one I would miss the most . . .
Regards
Bill

A fabulous landscape with lovely tones and detail Steve. I was here on a school trip a million years ago! Smile

I just saw your more recent upload and I think this looks better. The sun-issue I mentioned in your second shot is not present here and I prefer the lead in of the pier on this one.
