Did not have a good day yesterday, or last night due to several quite bad seizures, so my apologies for firstly not uploading an image, and secondly not taking time to look at and admire your work. I made this piece several days ago as a reminder to all those friends I have lost over the years in the call of duty in various theatres of war. Even though I am still alive but to quite firing on all cylinders, however I am better off than some. Where I live in Rochester in Kent is directly opposite Fort Pitt Military Cemetery, and it was only yesterday morning that they were burying a local lad who had fallen in Afghanistan. So this piece is dedicated not just the past heroes , but today's young men who offer the ultimate sacrifice for Queen and Country. Lest we forget.
Now that I have uploaded this image, I shall pop off back to bed, as I am still feeling the effects from yesterday and last night. God Bless you all.

This is a long way from my usual territory, but I appreciate the strong graphic composition, the harmony that you have brought to the different elements and the emotion.

There's a lot of feeling gone into producing this image, Nathan. A credit to you, and a fitting tribute.

I think I mentioned to you before Nathan about someone I know who is on his third tour of Afghanistan.I have just heard that his wife has suffered a nervous breakdown. Not surprised really with the 30 soldiers that have been killed in his company so far.Apparently ever knock at the door sends shivers down her spine.
A well worked image here.

Excellent artwork. My partner lost his favourite aunt yesterday, we had seen her in March one last time. Now the last of the ladies who served in WWII is gone. She'd always remind us of sacrifices made.
nice one.... Nathan I hope things are a lot better for you this weekend

Nathan,
This is a real work of art. It amazes me how some people, such as yourself, have the ability to express themselves and draw upon inspiration, so profoundly, even in the face of adversity. Living in this current iteration of physicality can be a transcending experience. An experience, that within my belief system, we live many times over. After all, our living spirit encompasses the totality of all our experiences that we have gleaned in this reality and the countless other realities that we can't quite recall within our current physicality. With that all said, always remember that our maker, or whom ever you choose to call him/her/it, will never give us any more challenges or adversity than we can handle. Some people, again, such as yourself, have the gift of channeling all the good and bad of ones experiences into various forms of artistic expression. This photograph or work of art, in my view, is such an example. Well done and thank you for sharing.
