Something a bit different from the Britcar race today, due to the extreme panning effect (dark as you like) and the long nose on the car, I thought this would work well as a proper pano shot rather than a letterbox.
So here it is. I like the guys in the pitlanes in the reflective bibs being frozen by the flash.
Reflective bibs are compulsary day and night in the pit lane - for safety reasons of course. But you have to wonder why they don't ask the press people to wear them... ![]()

mmm. seems to ooze speed but would have liked the number of the car to be sharp at least (if that's possible). find those vests a little distracting too, sorry matey

The number is sharp.. only problem is that it's sharp twice!
I bought a 430EX before the event and although flash is happy with it, the camera does not seem to like 2nd curtain flash.. but thats another story. However, on second curtain, the flash will do a pre flash and a flash. The slightly darker number is the pre flash and the brighter one is the proper flash. If I'd have had 1st curtain flash on then the number would have been sharp, but the car would have blurred in front of the sharper image, rather than behind it - giving the impression that it was going backwards.
Do I get a point now? ![]()
...errrr .....no ![]()
but I notice his front wheel is turned slightly, and the car is heading for the barrier. Hope it's nothing to do with a bright flash temporarily blinding the driver ![]()
Do like the colours and light tho'
well capured shot, but i would have cloned out the high vis jackets...
