Matt Neal on his way to securing a second year as BTCC champion during the second race at Silverstone last weekend. By this point in the race it was all over after Jason Plato crashed out in an earlier incident.

I started off near Becketts (National Circuit) but there were too many posts and background distractions so I moved up the straight 50 m and used the small group of trees as a background.

1/100th, f13 @115mm OS lens handheld, desaturated out a bright blob (marshall stand) in the trees to retain focus on the car, so not quite straight out of the camera!

Have a good weekend :o)

Nice exposure & timing again Rob. How do you decide which angle to tilt the camera to is best when shooting, is there a tried and tested method in motor 'togging??

Have a good weekend too!!

Paul

Rob, well done spotting the trees for a background works really well. The panning has done a good job of blurring the people in the background too.
