Gone off landscapes this week - lack of attention and all that. At least I know with a car shot I'm guaranteed hardly any interest ;o)

This was taken towards the end of the day at Silverstone for the final rounds of the BTCC last weekend. Captured some warm light cutting through the Luffield complex, shows up better on the original image - compression and sRGB has lost a little of the feel. Landscape light Grin

Has potential as a decent landscape but it is blighted by that racing car ...

Just kiddin' nice bit of panning Mr V and a great shutter speed. How many frames did you rattle off for this one??

Seriously Smile Can't afford one of those whizz bang pro cameras at the moment and 1.5 fps doesn't do much for motorsports stuff when the buffer gets full after 4 shots, so I only take one shot at a time... oh woe is me LOL

I tend to go through phases during the day, when I arrived I wasn't in a great spot and the shots weren't coming (threw away about 50%) but by the afternoon I kept about 75% and then whittled down to the best when I got back home - got about 15 keepers from the BMW race.

OK, you've asked for it...

I have some Porsches, F3s and Touring cars too, so it'll be a mixed bag I guess. Finally processed a few more from Spa back in March too!

Spa... went there shortly before Le Mans... where I spent a few hours in the pits of the Creation team and mingled with the pit crew and drivers..

Rob, I am very impressed with the clarity of this photo. Had a go at some panning last Sunday and it was very difficult to get right. Nice light on this one too.
