As the title says..

been wanting to try this for a while and finally got around to it.

Bit too bright to get a decent shutter speed at lower speeds (I've heard that the car mags do this kind of shot at about 10mph..) this was about 30, so a bit more vibration than ideal through the camera. I think the car has sharpened up ok though (it wasn't too bad). I used a polariser to increase the shutter speed, but this was still only 1/8th second at f22...

I like! I think your exposure is spot-on! Gives a nice sense of speed/movement. Is that a Super 7?

I was thinking of doing something similar, but don't have a Westy, and this pic has put me off 'cos it's to good, nice work.

done lots of car stuff as well as bikes and the shutter speeds we tend to use are between 60th and 120th
driven at speed around the 60mph mark and upwards depending on the venue

a lot of car mag cover shots etc are simply photoshopped these days
