Thanks for all the nice comments. He had spotted me Mary! He'd just killed, and eaten, a sparrow in my back garden. After finishing his meal he flew into this shrub and sat there preening and resting for about an hour. I was taking these shots through my kitchen window - hence they're not as pin sharp as they should be, but they do the job. He looked at me several times but I think he was too full and too lazy to move so he put up with me shooting away Smile Gorgeous bird - even if he does eat lots of my garden birds!
