Is this a promo shot for a kind of ' How safe are Britains streets ' advertising campaign...?

Well brought over,

Superb, should be a police poster.....in todays society this is becoming a daily occurance, there was the poor girl stabbed 10 times only yesterday in London...Hope this does well and sends out a message, a message that hopefully parents of these kids that carry knives should see, because i feel that they are the ones who should be doing more....

Before I looked at your user name I guessed this was yours Victor, certainly a thinking photo, like Ian said would make a good police Poster poster very thought provoking.

No pun here, but I think this is a good idea very well executed. The word could be slightly clearer, but can't fault it otherwise.

Lack of common sense, lack of dicipline, lack of self worth, lack of guidence and too much tolerance of it happening. This is a huge social issue that needs attacking from lots of angles, along with a list as long as your arm of other social problems. Governments and authorities aren't going to solve this alone...it starts at home, with the guardians attitude. If they can help, then they must do. If they need help, then they should ask. Then shout if its not forthcoming.

One of your very best.
Agree the wording might of been more "In your face"

less is more... Why ? provokes thought and reflection time to contemplate.. ! the composition has a powerful impact..!!!

l blame to much Jeremy Kile exploiting and rotting the brain of to many wanna be psychologists, in one dimensional increasing breeding society , On a serious note.. there is a lot of hurt anger and emotional damage out there, and lack of genuine love security and guidance, if l wrote what l truly believe could start !"£$.. mmmm

Very well composed...!!!

Hi Victor,
Emotive,Evocative and you say in one picture what needs to be said about the way things are and the gov't takes a whole session and still doesn't say.Why should people be frightened of the minority or knife weilding people.Because they have knives and the majority won't stand up together and look after each other and say it's wrong and go agains't them and say no soft tactics to the gov't.I'm off my soapbox now.sorry.hugs,Annx

cause you failed your standard grades and had no other option of anyting to do in life?

yes thats why.

Twats!

As an outsider I'm at a bit of a loss with this. I guess it's relevant to some terrible crime in the UK that has evoked the comments above.
Seeing a sharp knife with the remnants of a union flag on the handle makes me want to peel a Granny Smith. The blood and text tell me it's referring to something terrible... and no escapist butterfly.

Perfectly executed and thought provoking as always.

keep well, P, X

It's the hand that holds the knife, not the knife holding the hand, but a well thought out shot.

its a pity you have joined the media with this image,
when in fact crime is down,
there has always been knife crime, and probably always will,
if the media concentrates on any one thing it will look bad,
why are we all so down on Britain,

, none of us want to see crimes like these obviously, but
we must keep things in perspective,

ask your self
how many people do you know personally who have been effected by knife crime.....
pareen

I don't believe crime is down for one second.

The image may be media driven, but all Victor is doing is asking a very simple question... Why?

If you asked the persons who are commiting these crimes for a genuine valid reason for their actions I would suspect that there wasn't one... hence the question again... why?

That's my take on it.

Martin.

Very good pic as a police officer who's brother was stabbed 5 times by a cowardly attacker i appreciate the subtle message.

Thanks Ian, so sorry to hear about your brother, thats the problem anyone with a knife thinks they are invisible.
take care and welcome to the site hope you will find a lot more cheerful images than this one.
