The slight tone difference in the poppy works well against the background, nice warm feeling.

You achieved your aim in singling out the one flower, I like the lighting and the background. The whole pictures is completely different to any other poppy shot I've seen Nick and for that I applaud you

love the limited colour pallett - you have the poppy placed really well = this is the sort of image you could see selling well as a really larg canvas in Ikea for example.
