From a recent visit to the area. The Sage is certainly an interesting building and I was impressed at the access granted to the space.

Edit: Thanks for the clicks and comments and suggestions regarding having less sky. I'd initially gone with the version 1 crop to have the dark cloud at the top to act as a full stop as it were. Despite that, I've uploaded a second version with less sky. See what you think.
Nick

Stunning shot that has been really well processed, agree with OWP though a little less sky would strengthen the image imo.

Back to your abstract best Nick, suited to mono here...

Very nice abstract. I wonder (not knowing the colors present) if a color pop might work as a version? Just a thought.

Appreciate the thought Bill. On the day I was there it was a little grey and overwhelmingly, that was the colour palette of the image with a few random blues. It's one though that produced a stronger and more graphic presentation by switching into black and white. Thanks again for your comment.

Great lines in this Nick and mono works very well. I like the space above it in v1, it just feels a bit less cramped.

Perfect for mono Nick, love the shapes here, hmm it's a close call but V1 for me, same reason as Alan.

A close call as Sarah says - V2 is a fabulous abstract but more two-dimensional. V1 works better for me in conveying the feel of the building, which I love dearly.

like the simplicity of the crop & mono make you look at the structure of the pattern. like v2 just a fraction more than 1.

V2 is better I think, but I see why you wanted to keep the dark sky in v1 too.

Mono abstract-seems like a return to style for VintageRed after the bees Wink

I have always admired your eye for the abstract, clever use of lines and light.
