They are beautiful birds Dave...a little bit of sunshine reflecting of the feathers would have made a good shot excellent.

Hi Dave, firstly just to say thanks for your 3 recent clicks / comments. I've been away for a few days and was surprised to see some older shots still attracting attention. Its appreciated.
I like this one - the contrasting colours, as has been said, work really well alongside the blurred background.
Did he only have one leg, or was it tucked away?
