A beautiful capture.......Martin
Lovely image, I really like the way you have managed to capture the sunburst without any of the usual flaring. Nice work!
It's not much of a clever comment but it makes me very happy looking at it....x
Great shot, colors and contrast.
Very summery! Just what we in the northern hemisphere need to see as we start heading into winter.
This is nicely shot and the yellow flowers contrast really well with that brilliant blue sky. Like Frank, I think that more careful composition with whole flowers in the frame would have made for an even stronger shot. I would also have been careful to avoid the dark region on the right caused by three flowers overlapping and cutting out each others' light. Avoiding big overlaps means you get more of that glorious vivid yellow. Being really picky, I'd clone out that little leaf-tip that's just intruding in the bottom-left corner.
Hello, Jarrad. I like Icy's comment, and agree that the sunny golden yellow flowers against the deep blue sky, with the inclusion of the sun, does make a pleasing image. I agree with Frank about the position of the sun, and also that it might have been a better composition if you had included all of the flower/sun by moving the camera to the left, which would have cut off the large flower on the right, but not to the detriment of the image. The backlit flowers look good, though the shadow areas lack detail, but photographing yellow flowers is never easy, and I think you have done well. In my modification I cropped the right side, added canvas to the top (I didn't add canvas to the left, the composition I would like to have seen, because the cloning in would have been problematic), and lifted the shadows in an attempt to get more detail in the shadow areas.
