The heavy sea fret enveloping Winchelsea Beach changed the familiar seascape into a ghostly vista. As the mist started to clear, a figure seemed to emerge from the sea and walk towards us.
Very spooky shot, reminds me of that movie 'The Fog'
Very atmospheric Vivien! It looks really cold...
An image that rewards a long look from the viewer and gets better and better Vivien.
We're heading for the area on Saturday, I'd like decent weather for our week but photographically mist appeals much more to me. Shades of Reggie Perrin/John Stonehouse.
I came across my country solicitor quite genuinely by chance, but he's one of the 'interpreters' at Beamish Museum, he was on his lunch break.
Excellent Vivien you really have to look ito the picture, well done..Lin
All-pervading, penetrating sea mist almost redolent of Dickens, the figure a lone survivor from a shipwreck or maybe a Magwitch . . . Tremendous atmosphere.
A Wonderful atmospheric image.... Beautifully handled with the emerging figure ........
The inclusion of the figure is a master stroke.
What an eerie effect
great image for pondering over
Moira beat me to the punch, Stonehouse returns was in my head too.
You just don't need sunshine to make great photography.
