A female Green Tiger Beetle excavating a hole in preperation for ovipositing. The back of her abdomen is a great digging tool and the small clods of drying soil behind her have been lifted out by it.

I had to shorten it unfortunately because it was a bit too large a file to upload, it starts about 2/3rds of the way through the process of making the hole for her eggs.
