Stop the World by wanny

Stop the World

Thanks to all who have been so kind in voting & commenting. Derek I did notice the coloured 'cloud' to the right. It's actually a jet plane contrails catching the sun. These distractions take an age to disappear....maybe I should have been more patient.

Great moody sky. Receding tide gives nice lead in lines across the sand.

A beautiful landscape which suits the muted colours perfectly. You did well to keep the dog out of the water.

Divergence by wanny

Alan always a great & well thought out critique, thanks for you vote. John I think we often take our photo's anyway rather than leave with nothing. I always want to have a look at the shot back at home to see if I'm wasting my time or in this case decide how to improve the shot. As you will see by the date of the shot it was a couple of years ago in the Manors multi-story car park but I remember worrying at the time that when I came to leave I would find I was locked in. It was a difficult shot to take in that using a wide angle lens I had to cantilever my tripod right out over the wall to avoid half the shot being taken up by the car park wall.
This car park give a great view all around the city as I'm sure lots of local photographers are aware of.
