There's something about it, made me look twice. It would be better without the diagonal edge top right.

Good powerful and enjoyable image. Just catching up on all events as been away to Canaries for a couple of glorious weeks.

Nah but seriously I like the idea and the execution of the image. Just something not right about the background colour/contrast for me. Have tried to modify it to get across what I wanted describe see here
Basicaly just saturated the red a bit and used curves to make it have more contrast.
Hope you aren't vexed with me !?

Good shot, just the right shutter speed to leave some movement without too much blur. Very well lit and exposed.
