Not my usual thing, but I managed to snap this at a recent wedding and love their expressions. Not the best shot by any means, it was a bit blurry and rough around the edges but have done some retouching and sharpening to improve it.

I was hoping of getting a canvas done for the happy couple. Is it good enough? Does it need any more work? A crop maybe? I was thinking of possibly adding some nice textures and colour perhaps.

Would anyone like to have a go at it? Have seen some fantastic portrait stuff on here of late (some almost painting like).

Modifications most definately welcome, thanks Smile

I'd be proud to have taken this one and converted it. You have captured the moment perfectly and not even any confetti in front of their faces.. top notch. Smile

I might just clone out whatever is at the bottom right of the picture to the right of the brides dress. At this size, I can't see anything else that I would change.

thanks Jeanie, not too bad for a one handed shot (the other hand throwing confetti)

cool, I'll take out that bit of confetti to the right.

*Is it good enough" I suspect that you havent shown it to the happy couple yet as they will be blown away and more than happy to order a large print/canvas as would their parents.

Kind words. I haven't shown it to anyone yet, just you guys, the happy couple are on their honeymoon, was hoping to get something printed for them on their return.

I'd take out the confetti on the bride's right arm, and possibly soften the Bride's left forearm, but that's just me. Alternatively, it's excellent and stands on it's own for it's composition, and I love the movement in the hands. Even got a catchlight in the Brides eye, wedding ring, and earring. She should love this.

Yes please Smile

There is a stage reached in some creative endevours where critique is irrelevant (in itself the critique being a kind of indulgence) - imo here - a treasure for them for the future Smile - indulge yourself

Apart from the minor distractions the original is just great, doesn't look over processed and you've caught the moment just right. Many congrats on the EC.

Yeah it is, I think it was the 60%, layered it over the orig and lowered the opacity a touch.

The prints arrived today, it looks gooooood! Thanks again.

I love the original just as is. The comp is excellent with the shower of confetti falling from the top left and the bride looking up. Excellent , natural, happy expressions and even the blur helps add to the atmosphere. Top reportage for the happy couple.
Great treatment in v1 too.
