December 2010 saw one of the longest prolonged spells of cold weather the UK has experienced for many a year. With sub-zero temperatures and heavy snow the "norm" on most days this made for stunning Christmas card scenery as seen here on this misty wintery landscape of Attingham Park, Shropshire on Christmas Eve.
