It was nearly very expensive Lesley. I heard a scratching noise as I stood up and looked down at the "naked" end of my lens minus £400 worth of filter kit. After putting everything else in the car I took the plunge, literally, and eventually came up with the holder and filters, wet but intact. Almost an expensive lesson in which I learned that, unsurprisingly, the water in the Dales is not warm in October. Dave
