As you can see in my PF, I like these kind of owls. Not just for their gorgeous feathers (great colours and patterns!).
This one was the loudest type during the falconry demonstration. He was making noises and flapping his wings all the time, making sure he was getting enough attention! Smile

I like the way the way he unfolds his wings, which are so beautiful - and strong.
Felt that this picture captured the spirit of this owl.

Superb capture Jacqueline the detail and colour are excellent.
I was handling and flying a Siberian Eagle Owl at the weekend,on Dartmoor,the largest Owl in the world.Beautiful birds these and you've captured that beauty well..........................

very good capture strong colours and detail and good sharpness.all with an old tamron lens ive got plenty of them good stuff well done indeed..was the tamron mf or and old autofocus?

I think I had it on autofocus most of the day. But so now and then I might have switched to manual focus.
