This is a shot from our second evening at Hunstanton Rock. The tide was in, the wind was hard and the waves were high.
I managed to keep the tripod stable by putting it on the rocks, instead of the sand. Thought that I even managed to keep the filters dry - they were dry, but what I did not know, that saltspray was building up on the filters ( did not have any glasses on, of course...).
This shot was taken pretty early in the evening, with just a little bit of the saltspray.
I liked the way the sun lit the rocks, the retreating water and the new waves coming in. And don't forget that glorious colour in the sky!
So look past the saltspray freckles and imagine the raging sea, the wind blowing, sun setting and one boot plus sock soaked....
In the meantime I think I learned my lesson! (The rest of the frames of that evening are beyong repair...)
