At the falconry last october, I tried to capture this owl in flight with my old Tamron lens.
It hard a hard time focussing quick enough while I had a hard time tracking the owl through the viewfinder.
This image is not (IMHO) the best that I took that day, but it really shows off these wide wings that unfold completely during flight. They are so wide that they did not fit within the frame!
I also like the determination in his eyes: he knew where the bait was!
Like to hear your opinion.

That's good enough Jacqueline! And as you say, the eyes are what you focus on, and thy're perfect.

As you say, the eye is great and it does show the span of the wing but I do think the whole of the wings need to be in the shot. Then again the only owl shot I ever got was when it was tethered to a post!!
