And now for another change in direction!

Georgia, little brother Alex and, of course, their parents came round for some photos on Sunday afternoon and I'm now going through them all - a long job but pleasing to see that there are very few duds.

Whilst winding down last night having gone through half the pics I thought I'd have a brief play with one of them ............

Indeed - a lovely portrait. I'm not too keen on the blue tint, but love the crop, her expression and how you've framed her. I think it may also make a good black-and-white.
Best wishes,
Maria

A lovely portrait Alison - and I love that softness you've created.

Very cute expression and like her off to the side. The tone a little off but I like it.

Thanks everyone - and thank you Chris for your award Smile

I'm sure many will find the colours a bit odd - I kinda like them but am sure if I play more with the pic I'll come up with some more variations Smile It was just a quick experiment last night to get that cross processed retro feel - my first attempt actually!

I've not quite finished going through all the pics - one more session and I'll be done - phew!

Hi Ali,

Like the processing. Not so sure about the composition.

Bren.

Hi Bren

Georgia was sat on her mum's lap so I chose to crop mum out hence the composition. As it happens I like wonky compositions so it suited me fine Smile

Nothing wrong with wonky compositions.

Practically none of my shots ever conform to the so-called "rules."

Given that a huge amount of my stuff is wonky that's as well. That said the 'rules' do make sense and have use sometimes...... Smile

I like the crop though - thanks. Once I've finished going through the batch I can slow down and pick some out to play with - I doubt I'll upload any more here though!

I hope Georgia is amenable to doing pics when she's old enough to take a bit of instruction and stay in one place for longer than a second!

Beautiful pose and processing. The composition is very attractive as well. I like portraits that don't quite fit the mold. She is a lovely model, and I do hope we can see more of these.

I'm not sure if there will be any more from this session but will go through the pics again another evening just in case I've missed one. Most of the time she was dashing about - not idea but typical!

just shows how different opinions can be... I like the composition, a lovely expression but not fond of the misty look...!
