I like the light with this shot and as a B+W it works for me. Nice one .

Thanks Sam I've just bought the Topaz Black & White adjustment software, so I might try and improve this one

Hi Gareth,

Yep, I'd agree with you there.

The colour version looks no-where near as good.

I still haven't got round to trying to improve it in my Topaz software yet - but when I have time I'm going to give it a go.

Thanks for taking the time to comment.

Cheers

Elaine

Hi Myriam,

Thanks for taking the time to comment on my shot.

The lighting was natural - from my north facing kitchen window. It was nice and soft and I thought it would suit the subject as I wanted to avoid harsh shadows.

I'm glad you think the shot works.

I love your Twilight "firthscape" in your pf. Beautiful lighting, lovely composition.

Cheers

Elaine

Beautiful macro photography! It looks more like a lovely flower than just a cactus.

Namaste Bornav,

I'm glad you like my shot.

I liked the shapes of the leaves...........it looked ok in colour, but I thought black & white would suit the subject better.

Cheers

Elaine
