Thanks very much to everyone who has taken the time to view, vote, comment on my latest uploads "Ice Blue" and "Astrantia".

Here's a shot of a Deer that I captured in the Lake District. What a beautiful animal Grin

What I'd really love to be doing today is getting out and about with my camera....sadly my wings have been clipped - too much housework to do !! Sad

Have a great day everyone

Elaine Grin

What an excellent capture, and such a beautiful face. Very nice work.

Go on, get out and have fun with your camera, the housework won't mind SmileSmile

Thanks for the votes and to Nathan, Peter and Dave for the lovely comments.

Dave......After reading your advice about the housework and reading this very appropriate poem I've decided to turn a blind eye to the dust and go galavanting with my camera GrinGrinGrin Thanks for that Dave Grin

Dust if you must, but wouldn't it be better
To paint a picture, or write a letter,
Bake a cake, or plant a seed;
Ponder the difference between want and need?

Dust if you must, but there's not much time,
With rivers to swim, and mountains to climb;
Music to hear, and books to read;
Friends to cherish, and life to lead.

Dust if you must, but the world's out there
With the sun in your eyes, and the wind in your hair;
A flutter of snow, a shower of rain,
This day will not come around again.

Dust if you must, but bear in mind,
Old age will come and it's not kind.
And when you go (and go you must)
You, yourself, will make more dust.

My sentiments exactly (and Dave's) GrinGrin.....off out for the day folks !!

Whooppeee - really glad you've decided to ditch the housework Elaine. It is a beautiful day outside, the housework can be done when it rains!

Fancy coming face to face with a deer like this. Excellent shot..............well done for staring it down.

Enjoy your day.

An excellent portrait of this deer, Elaine - he looks rather miserable though, and could have smiled for the camera! Wink
