Photographing Gracie was just fun, we did her and her brother in a local paddling pool.

Once again, Ive gone in close and not conformed to the rules by cutting bits off and having her composed off centre.

Originally they were booked in for a shoot in a studio setting but their mother had to cancel due to having a few financial problems.

She was upset and depressed and it broke my heart to hear someone so sad, so we said we would do some images for free.

It really cheered them all up and it felt good to give something back.

The reccommendations we have had have proved invaluable.

Im a firm beliver in what goes around comes around Smile

Have a nice day.

Lovely shot. You've captured a fun expression and I really like the compostion, very nice indeed. The image looks great in black and white too. I think I might have done a little tiny bit of editing on the eyes just to brighten them slightly. I'm sure Gracie's mum must have been thrilled with this shot.

A really nice shot, - and it still conforms to many of the "rules" with the eye on a thirds intersection!

Its a nice background story, - Ive been in the same situation myself

Good stuff, Lee! I have to say, you have a real flair for portraits...

...but what I really want to see is some more landscape work. You know what I mean.... Wink

I love this pic -- great expression, perfect framing and an astute crop. It deserves more votes, so here's another. Oh, and thanks for your excellent input on the forum I started.
Bestest...
