Lock 27 the watering hole and rain refuge on the Forth and Clyde canal.
East and west of this watering hole the next one is 5 miles on the hoof either way so planning is essential and no places to shelter when our summer rain falls.

Thanks to all for their kind comments on the Kelvingrove captures much appreciated.

5.5C here in Glasgow this morning very misty and constant drizzle

Graham

Good canal scene, Graham, and I had not realised the next 'refuge' was so far away either direction: my only shots of the canal have been taken at the Bowling end.
Like the subdued colouring here under the overcast.

Like this Graham, nice light and detail, there are more people than you first think, I can see at least four, like the water in the lock pouring down, a very nice photo, regards Leon.GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

A great capture of the watering hole/canal. Almost missed the fellow sitting on the bench. We left home at your temperature but it was around 30 C here in Palm Springs yesterday.......Sandy

Really like your composition with this. Isn't it amazing how attractive the structures of the gasometers look nowadays, once they are empty! Never thought them attractive in the days when their tanks were full.

Nasty looking sky on the horizon here at the moment. No idea what it plans but would put money on not enjoying it!!

An excellent shot Graham, not very far to the next lock either is it? Like the inclusion of the guy sitting by the lock, but he doesn't look very warm. Cracking detail and a well taken shot.

Like this HDR work Graham not over the top, this process has brought out all the shadow and light detail, the water has also great movement, overall a stunning landscape.
