2nd in a series of 3
You and the shadows and the silver horizons...You keep fascinating me!
An interesting study of light and textures, the silhouetted figures work well for me here clustered at the centre of the frame.
Very well observed and captured but I can't get the sloping horizons out of my line of sight and minds eye...
Simple yet full of complicated and even the absence of light and textures... Superb.
Quote: the sloping horizons out of my line of sight and minds eye..
But Nathan there isn't any horizon in this image, mate. It's a sand-bar. At an angle.
I see no horizons . . . . . . .
But the dynamic of the angled shoreline does jolt the brain into wondering if the situation is as idyllic as first sight would suggest. Note that the two adult humans are facing away from each other.
Oh the power of suggestion!
Another cracker, Alan.
Only one more day of washyourmouthoutwithsoapandwater to go
Lovely strong silhouettes, layers of light & shade, & textures - excellent.
Cheers, Bill. You don't miss a trick
This has the dignified formality of a tableau, so the formal central placement is crucial. You couldn't have choreographed better body language, silhouettes can be so expressive. (But they're not quite silhouettes, there's just enough detail to give substance, depth). I like the fact that they have a firm base line to stand on.
And you've got a good balance between top and bottom layers here. Good, very good.
dignified formality of a tableau ..... no way can I follow that comment
I like the tension of the body shapes. I can see a diptych increasing the divide even more.
Don't call me a dipstick Dave you cheeky sod
The sillouettes are perfect Alan against that gorgeous light....you're breaking all the rules and I love it!
I love the layers, silhouettes and format Alan.
A lot going on here compositionally for an apparently simple image. Like the fact that the verticals of the figures break the strong horizontal of the water's edge. Also interesting relationship between figures, to me it suggests they're waiting for something.
Like the layers & tones.. Nicely observed silhouettes...
I love this one, great silhouettes and NATURAL textures.
