A return to a favourite motif
A simple but very effective image Alan, like it a lot
Very effective composition, Alan.
Great shot, love your composition
This more like you Alan I like the silhouetting of the man against the nice breaking wave as was said above simple but effective.
Beautifully effective photography Alan.
I had a double take on opening this - but I checked the date, different day and different dog to mine. Nice one, I like the stick in all that foreground, waiting for the dog to spot it.

He's too interested in his ball, Moira. Border Collie = unswerving single minded concentration.
I said the stick was waiting... In the same way as I am still waiting for Bill to remember our wedding anniversary date...
Oh dear, poor Bill .... but is he good with sheep?
The poor dog looks exhausted. This is an Alan image through and through.

No its a collie in the touch the ball if you dare pose
Like this very much Alan.
Such a clever composition.
A whole story on the high horizon.
Seeing your image and Moira's together this morning in the galleries made me do a double take. Very nice tones in this.
Just so long as there is no Mexican wave involved.

Only with the portion served on my dinner plate. But there are supposedly sheep specialists on the site.

That's not entirely fair. I remembered it three years ago, and only five days too late.
very fine image with a beautiful composition..
Call that a wave?! Your composition makes this Alan - as usual an unusual perspective which makes this different and thus interesting. I like the fact that there's no horizon.
Love the depth of the shot and the brave walker and his dog
Agree with Linda, I could tell this is one of your wonderful beach shots without looking for your name on it.
I already said it is wonderful. I absolutely love the depth of blue you captured.
