This is an enterprising and very attractive first upload. It is always good to see someone launching straight into black & white. I imagine the autumnal mistiness is not entirely due to the Orton filter; however achieved, the 3-D impression is noticeable and pleasing.

Thanks, woolybill1, and you're right- it was actually a pretty dense fog, most of which I cleared first by whacking up the contrast, then Orton Effect to soften everything.
Your comments much appreciated. There's a colour version, but on balance I prefer this.
