Great composition and light in this landscape, the colour of the reeds and reflected sky lift this image of a typical Lakeland day!
Thanks Nigel. I think the water level, after weeks of rain, was the highest I've ever seen it.
More a cloudscape than a landscape, very beautiful and almost melancholy. Agree entirely with Nigel.
Thanks, Bill, you see it the way I do.
Lovely serene shot . Melancholy maybe . maybe not. I love the way you placed the horizon (take note Rod) near the top. The obvious crop would be the bottom bit of water but that would be too standard methinks
and also it would be rude lol Beauty of a shot
It's that streak of light hitting the still water along the shoreline. I've seen it before - it creates a clean line dividing land from water. And it's stronger for being so high in the frame.

I tell you what, Moira, you might be a shameless fizgig, but you ain't just whistlin' Dixie. It's the line that does the business, alright Thanks

Your right, Dave. It still works in b&w, but it's better this way.

Tell you what, Mark, I'm gonna run out of tenners at this rate Very Much Appreciated
