Originally shot on film and printed to A4, then early one morning I decided to photograph the print digitally, using ICM, to try and get something more impressionistic that would be more true to the way it felt at the time.

I like that very much, very surreal, splashes of colour in just the right place and altogether quite restful.

Thanks. Much appreciated. Your owl photographs are terrific. And I think I've seen Alien about 7 or 8 times. What else ... oh yes- it's OK to like flowers. Doesn't mean you're gay. Unless you wear one behind your ear in a colour that matches your lipstick.

What attracted me to your image were the colours. At first I was hoping for a bit more definition (sharpness), but I see your point. The way I perceive it - focusing on the soft colours in the sky, I find the brightness of the water a touch distracting, although at the same time it provides a frame for the hills in the centre of the image. Maybe I'd shave off a tiny bit off the bottom of the frame Smile I think you deserve more votes than this.

Best wishes,
Maria Smile

Lovely Alan, it looks like an impressionist painting. Wonderful.
