There's a certain sort of light, on a certain sort of ripple (smooth, rounded not choppy...) that produces those wiggly black lines in reflections - as on the bridge- when photographed at 1/125 or faster. It's another of those things that the camera can see, the human eye misses...

Lovely. That tiny bit of red with the taupe against the greys and beiges is gorgeous as is the arch of the bridge which looks like a monochrome rainbow.

Linda's right about the red. This would also be interesting in hard b&w, but it would be a different picture.
This is a belter. I'm trying to be calm and careful, shortlist and review. This one gets better every time I come back to it.
