My sort of picture Alan, nicely done sir!
Love all the different bands of light in this image from the shimmer in the fg to the slightly more foreboding bg Guid stuff Alan.
Central placement tugging against the sideways drift of light and shadows. That's a nice tension.
I presume you've tried b&w conversion (she asks with some trepidation... )?

The North Sea, freezing cold in patches and even colder in others. Love the streaks of light that try to make the water look more inviting than it really is.
Really like the layers of textures, tones and light in this one, Alan.

Well, I have, but it doesn't really work- there's not enough tonal interest/variation. An IR-style conversion is quite interesting, but gives far too much noise in the blues (which of course is pretty much everything!) exacerbated by the fact that the image is actually quite a small crop from the original. I really like the colours anyway.

I recall from my childhood that paddling was often a character-forming experience
