First of three.
Many thanks to all who voted/commented on my last two images, with particular thanks to Joline and to Bill for their UAs on "light."
Your favorite beach is becoming one of my favorites as well!
The dog and the figures have your unmistakable signature.
Beautifully composed image. Time to walk the dogs, it would seem. Peter.
Leisure on the beach whilst industry forges on in the background, beautifully composed, light on the wet sand is great, well processed. Love this one Alan.
Of all your beach scenes, this is my favourite so far. I particularly like the industrial background and the absence of the sea, we know it's there but we don't see it. The various vertical silhouettes peppered throughout the image also works an absolute treat. Yet more top quality work from you Alan.
An interesting composition with lots going on...
like the silhouettes in the foreground and the detail in the bg...nice highlight in the steam cloud too
Full of activity, human, canine and industrial. I don't remember seeing so many people in your photographs altogether (and certainly not all at once!) although my short-term memory is . . . What were we talking about again?
Fabulous capture of the light.
I can't help wondering if the lighting gantries in the background will one day be reduced to skeletal remains, like the boat carcass in the foreground that they echo.
Little cameos of life.
Love the dog holding its paw up, I think it dislikes getting its feet cold and wet. I sympathise.
A lovely palette of dark silhouettes, light belching smoke and subtle greys.
The juxtaposition of the beach and the industrial backdrop has real impact. Nice one Alan.
Light and dark scenic and industrial , loads going on..............great stuff Alan
My kinda beach scene - super lighting and lots of interest. I've visited this place once but didn't spend long enough there - looks the sort of place one could stay all day... Love it!
Good picture Alan, love the way the various elements on the beach lead us into the distance. Regards, Si.
Always some thing to think about in your images Alan, industrial seascapes... Interesting! So many people walking dogs too! Great shot matey, love the rays of sunlight against that lowering sky!
Busier here than some beaches in the summertime.
Love the contra jeur.
Superb image, Alan
