Another unusual abstract Alan and such a conflict in emotions, the beautiful red rose, set against what appears to be a abandoned home. Nicely seen and very well captured!

A rose with no stem . . . called Lauren? Blush
Very unusual by the standards of street art: not campaigning, humorous, ironic, aggressive etc, just decorative. Perhaps that's what makes it so bizarre.
Withg a nice blob of blue to balance the red.
Well seen, an essential image.
Regards
Bill

I wonder if it was added by Lauren, with the colour-coordinating script? I didn't care for pasted-on paper street art when it started appearing, it seemed a lazy option. But I like the way it weathers and peels, so that with time the original surface peers through.
The blue blob is important, though not added deliberately.

Moira, do you know the photography of Ernst Haas? If not, you should investigate. Particularly his early B&W work for MAGNUM, and his colour photographs of New York, both figurative and abstract. But maybe you do. Smile

I know some of his work, but he's not on my first-point-of-reference list. OK that's my homework... Smile

Wonderful composition Alan; classic Blue Note Wink
P.S. don't know about the bridle situation either; looked kind of superfluous to me too Smile
