I applaud your creative ability, Alan!
It would be good to see the original for comparison purposes.
Excellent work.

A beautiful shot Alan, the water in the foreground looks just like small jets of dancing water, elegant and excellent.

Your ICM skills really keep us guessing - Mark's description of little jets is spot on!
Loved your comment on my Sheep image - didn't think of that!

You've been let loose with the Titanium White on this, to great effect. The tankers, reflections and the calm before the gentle swell breaks are most effective Alan.
You've created a composition to be proud of, and one I like very much.

More palette knife imagery, Alan, more impressionist than abstract and stronger for it (for me)

This really encourages the imagination to run wild. All those miniature water-spouts in foreground bunches supply an early-morning wake-up call, an inverted cold shower.

Possibly my favourite from the set so far. Despite the darkness there's a freshness to it.

Light, water and time. It's a magical combination. This is like sparks flying through ice.

Logically, I know it's a shoreline from your title but for me it's got a real industrial feeling to it for some reason. I can't figure out if I just like it, or love it. When I compare it to others of the same style in your portfolio it seems stark by comparison, even though there's more going on than some of the others. I think it may be the subdued palette of colour.

It's certainly an interesting one - at first glance, it seems soulless. But looking at it more, there's definitely something 'other' about it that speaks of solitude, time and peace. I like Moira's description of it though ... "This is like sparks flying through ice" - that sums it up nicely Smile

This is the sort of image that hundreds of people could look at and each one see something different. I see a lot of water plants gleaming in the sunshine.
