Thanks for your votes and comments on 'hayloft,' and of course a special thank you to Nigel for his UA.
Here's another image from the same morning.
I like the bleakness...
Two images in this Alan, both stark, both good. I like both and the whole.
I wish I had this distance between my next door neighbour Alan !!
Agree with Peter Alan only I feel you have 3 images, first crop the sky down to the fence line gives image one, and then a crop from the bottom up to just below the first fence line, gives image 2, and then the image as it is for the 3rd, I Really, Really, like all 3 a lot. All 3 moody and sinister, excllent
My kind of neighborhood
I like the simple and very effective use of space and light. The little bit of blue in the sky is interesting....is it intentional? I assume it is, giving a bit of eccentricity to the composition.
You sure as h--- know how to make an impact!!!!
Fabulous contrast in this. Like an artists drawing. That bit of blue plays with my mind.
a distance of light years between them.. silent and unmoving.. caught in the battle between shadow and light.. crumling and given to time..
well seen and composed
Dramatic presentation, Alan. Works well for me.
Spectacular. Nothing else to add, just an award.
'What's huge, black, and has four little legs?'
'I don't know. Tell me - what's huge, black, and has four little legs'
'I don't know either but there's one heading towards us. Get indoors quick'
"Oh black is black and white is white and never the twain shall meet".
(I am merely considering some possibilities for Alternative Commentary.)
Cracking, Alan, i love the bleakness of this.............and that sailors collar on the right just sets the whole thing off nicely.
Super image Alan. Works far better than the last horizon image.
So bleak and stark.............love it!
