A wonderfully moody image, the light on the breaking waves is perfect, those little white clouds and is that rain in the distance behind the pier head or light through the cloud. Great shot Alan. A big beach with just a few people to give the scale

Two figures I think on the left, one on the right and the crop emphasises the distance between them.

Hi Mark. Light through cloud I think, but maybe rain too. A good few miles further down the coast. Cheers mate.

Good morning Moira Smile

This has everything Alan , atmosphere , desolation . The figures perfectly enhance the scale of the image, and the hint of rain further down the coast top it off. Have a freaky Friday WinkWinkSmile

Great image Alan, very atmospheric, the sweep of water on the sand acts as a nice lead, the figures give scale and the small white clouds balance the composition with that great gradual transition of tones in the sky from left to right giving drama. Ideal pano. crop.

The tonal range of this mono Alan is superb. I think the great Ansel Adams himself would applaud your use of the Zone System...fabulous processing that really works here. Also, there's such a lot going on yet, it still has that wonderful minimal feel to me. Top drawer stuff.

Awesome shot, I am with Dave in his analysis and the "little white puffy clouds" reference.
Love them, look like brushstrokes.
