Spotted this straight away. V1 is beautiful - just my sort of image and the treatment is spot on.
V2 also works for me whilst the lighting on V3 is a tad strong

3 small comments, unconnected, unrelated. Organic, luminescent, shadowy. I can imagine you setting questions for A level English papers, Alan Grin

Thanks Erica for your much appreciated honesty.
V3... that's how it was, blindingly bright day. I liked it for the shadows and light streaks, and that there are no actual verticals. But fair comment.Smile

V2 and V3 suit me best this morning. I agree that V1 is beautiful, I just need easier focusing first thing on a Monday Blush
Excellent studies.

Light, textures, lines, contained within a square crop - of course these are related, do pay attention!
V1 has the quality of an etching which I like a lot. V2 has that long meandering line squeezed into the square box. V3 is anarchic, diagonals fighting it out for control. I won't express a preference, all are excellent. But I do enjoy the cold, organic, peaty toning of V2 and V3.

I could't express myself as well as Moira, so I'll just have to say I agree with her completely, I will express a preference and thats for V2, the light and detail is amazing. The textures presented in V1 are divine and pushed my choice to the limit.

Three very imaginative and artistic images which I really like and admire. All too often we get stuck in a rut with out particular style or genre. This is a great example of someone who is willing to think and create outside of the box.

Three well crafted and observed images, Alan. My personal favourite is V2, great composition and light.

V1 for me Alan. Just the right level of contrast and eerie enough to be a bit Sleepy Hollow.

Good original set Alan; I particularly like V1 with its beautiful tones and textures. I don't know whether you did any special processing, but it is special anyway Smile
