My favourite lamp and twigs from the garden.
Gorgeous. The tonal gradation, with the twigs emerging from darkness, is perfect. Great composition, and Moira will crop it for sure... mind you,
it would look good square-ish! ...( as well as, not instead of ) What colour's the wall??
Hope you and Gary are enjoying Christmas,
Please be assured that I have no desire to crop this! The protective arc of dark shadow top and right is perfect, it echoes the arc of twigs. Portrait is my other favourite format, I like images that lead the eye up and down rather than side to side.
Interesting point (for me)... back a couple of years ago I remember a long discussion between several members about hotel bedroom lighting - a) the photographer's immediate instinct on entering a hotel room is to photograph the light fittings, b) you can always recognise the impersonal, commercial character of such designs.
This is the antithesis, it's a personal world.
An interior moonlit evening with a beautifully selected crop. All I can says it works so very well.
You show the art of taking good photography in everyday situations.
A lovely personal shot Linda, I like it.
Hope you had a lovely Christmas
You've scored again, Linda... here's Alfred.
And though there are other potentially-attractive crops, this one is fine!
At the risk of repeating myself... Great composition, which might ALSO work as a square crop.
I love that lamp!
Very nice indeed. Light and shade held beautifully in balance.
