Wonderful light in the foreground, Mark, and that gentle curve of the wall leading the eye into the distance, perfection. Carol

Very striking indeed. A completely different feel to your usual work, almost abstract. There's so much here that is captivating... the tonal gradations, the textures thrown into relief by the low angle of the light, the delicious curve, colour change and shadow at the far end, the perfect proportions and compositional balance.
I'm making much more of a fuss than usual because I think this is one of your very best images. Stunningly lovely.

P.S. I believe you are in contact, perhaps even cahoots, with The Captain. If so, would you be kind enough to convey my felicitations and also my thanks. He will understand.

Have to agree with Alan...this is a game changer for you Mark. Absolutely superb work. The light on that textured wall contrasting against the silky smooth water.....this image stands out a mile for me. Well done mate Wink

He took the words right off my keyboard, perhaps I wouldn't have put it quite like that, but that is what I would have meant.

My first reaction was -I prefer sand with water but this looks a fascinating place
and is obviously familiar to many of you.
The limited palette with the gorgeous light is so beautiful.
